Step 3: Generate Student Learning Outcomes Data

EduMetry provides two standardized methods for scoring student-learning artifacts and generating Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) data. Assuming that your institution can provide samples of past assignments, limited access to current assignments, and the ability to interface with faculty and administrators, EduMetry facilitates the process and generates the SLO data.

Outscore™

Our Outscore™ service uses representative sampling methods to generate SLO data. This approach can be used to generate data at the college, program, or cohort levels of aggregation. The SLO data produced this way can help administrators close the loop at the macro level as well as use it for reporting to various accreditation bodies.

Assess⁺™

Our second, alternate method of generating SLO data is called Assess⁺™. 

Assess⁺™ delivers not only the SLO data produced with Outscore™ but also provides detailed, actionable feedback to students on select assignments and summative reports to instructors, all in real time (within 2-5 days). Most assessment initiatives on campuses are limited to closing the loop at the macro level (college, program or cohort levels) but not at the classroom level. EduMetry has proven that rubrics-based classroom assessment can be the DNA for program and institutional learning outcomes assessment. EduMetry is the only entity that delivers on the vision of improving student learning at both the macro and micro levels — all in real time (closing the loop in the classroom the following week and, in the program, the following semester)!
